Experts on the couch - Wellington

Craigs Investment Partners invites you to join us for an informal ‘on the couch’ chat with experts from the electricity and AI industries.

This event will be a unique format with no formal presentations. Instead, we will facilitate a Q&A session with industry experts in the electricity and AI sectors, allowing our moderator to cut straight to the key issues and opportunities facing these sectors today.

• With recent warnings of electricity shortages, pylons toppling over, and a long-term agreement with our largest consumer of electricity (Tiwai Point), there is plenty to cover across the electricity space. Owen Hackston from Meridian Energy will provide insights into all of these issues, along with how the sector plans to almost double electricity generation by 2050.

• AI and quantum computing are terms being used almost every day. However, growth in these industries can’t happen without the infrastructure to support increased computing requirements – namely in the form of data centres. Mark Flesher from Infratil will help contextualise the size and scale of the task ahead in order to support the AI boom.

• Our Portfolio Manager, Mo Singh, will also provide a brief update on the NZ economy to help set the scene ahead of the Q&A sessions with our experts.
