Supporting local people and projects
Employees from across our branches nationwide can opt to contribute a portion of their monthly paycheque and Craigs matches those contributions up to $500 per employee each year.
This initiative is about more than just money – it’s about reinforcing our commitment to the communities where we live and work. Started in 2020, the programme has now distributed more than $1 million to local charities across New Zealand.
What makes it particularly meaningful is the way the programme is delivered locally. Each branch works with its regional Community Foundation to identify the charities where their funds will have the greatest impact. These donations are made at Christmas, a time when extra support can make a real difference for many individuals and families.
And it doesn’t stop at financial support, employees have a paid day of volunteer leave known as the ‘Craigs Community Day’ giving all employees the chance to contribute time as well as money.
