About

Sara O’Connor joined Craigs Investment Partners Christchurch branch in October 2006, following earlier roles at Greenslades and the New Zealand Guardian Trust.

Sara specialises in investment strategy and portfolio management and works with sporting organisations, individuals, charitable and family trusts, and experienced investors. She takes a holistic and values-based approach to investing, with a particular interest and qualification in ethical and socially responsible investment options. Sara is passionate about helping clients achieve their goals and is also qualified to advise United States citizens.

Active in the community, Sara mentors through the University of Canterbury Women in Business Club. She has extensive governance experience and is currently a Trustee for the charity One Mother to Another. Sara is a proud and active member of Craigs’ Women’s Wealth programme and is passionate about building financial confidence.

Sara has contributed to several articles, including Break free of the bias, Investing – does it pay to do it yourself? and Game changers: The power of a great coach in sport and investing.

Outside of work, Sara is an avid reader and loves spending time with her friends, family and dogs.
