Mel Dyer is Chief People Officer at Craigs Investment Partners, having joined the firm in June 2026, and brings more than 20 years’ experience in people and culture leadership across New Zealand and Australia.

Mel is an experienced executive with a strong track record of leading organisational development, strengthening workplace culture, and building capability to support long-term business performance. She has played a key role in guiding organisations through periods of change, aligning people strategy with commercial objectives and fostering high-performing, values-led teams.

Before joining Craigs, Mel was General Manager Corporate Services at Port of Tauranga, where she was responsible for people and culture, and contributed to the organisation’s growth and operational resilience. Prior to this, she was General Manager People and Culture at Trustpower, playing a key role in leadership development and organisational transformation.

Mel is known for her people-focused leadership style and her ability to build strong, collaborative cultures that enable individuals and teams to thrive. At Craigs, she is focused on enhancing the firm’s people and culture to support the delivery of its long-term strategy.

Mel is a respected leader in her field and an active member of the Tauranga community. She is Board Chair for the EMA, a member of the Waikato School of Management Business Advisory Board, a member of Global Women, and a former board member of the Tauranga Chamber of Commerce and Downtown Tauranga.
