Karan Gulati joined the Investment Banking team in 2013 following 4 years at Deutsche Bank New Zealand.

Karan’s experience involves the provision of M&A, valuation and equity capital markets advice. Selected transactions include the sale of Vodafone’s New Zealand business, Igneo Infrastructure Partners’ acquisitions of Waste Management NZ and Tuatahi First Fibre, BGH Capital’s acquisition of Pushpay via Scheme of Arrangement, the IPO of Meridian Energy, the IPO of Z Energy, the block trade of a 30% stake in Z Energy by Infratil and New Zealand Super Fund, the takeover of Tegel Group by Bounty Fresh Foods, the sale of Transpacific Industries Group’s New Zealand business to Beijing Capital Group, and the acquisition of Academic Colleges Group by Pacific Equity Partners, and capital raises for Vista Group, Serko, Comvita, NZX and Gentrack.
