About

Fraser has spent over 20 years in a finance developing his understanding of financial markets, investments and investment portfolios. He worked at the coal-face for around eight years; starting his career trading stock options in Chicago and New York and as an equities dealer for Craigs in Tauranga. His interest in understanding investment fundamentals led him to a role at PwC in Corporate Finance where he developed his understanding of the things that matter in share valuation. He also developed an ongoing interest in building complex financial models. Fraser re-joined Craigs as an Investment Adviser in 2014.

As part of his journey to understanding investments, Fraser completed the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation. A global organisation who’s mission is “To lead the investment profession globally by promoting the highest standards of ethics, education, and professional excellence for the ultimate benefit of society”. There are only over 300 members of the CFA Society NZ, and over 180,000 members globally.

Fraser is passionate about education, sports and helping in the community. He draws on his background to help a range of clients achieve their financial goals, including individuals, trusts and corporates.

He is a member of or accredited with the following organisations:
– CFA Institute
– Board of Trustees for his kids’ school
– NZ Football Credential Committee

Qualifications
  • Certificate of Authorisation AFA (2013)
  • Chartered Financial Analyst Charterholder (2009)
  • Bachelor of Management Studies, majoring in Finance and Economics with Honours (2002)
  • Series 65 licence holder (required to advise individuals in the USA)
