Craigs Investment Partners (Craigs) has appointed Alice Mew as Head of its recently formed Investment Strategy Group (ISG). “We’re delighted to have someone of Alice’s experience and calibre leading a function that’s integral to client delivery at Craigs. Her leadership, investment expertise, and collaborative approach will be invaluable in achieving our overriding objective of delivering great outcomes for clients,” says Jeremy Williamson, Craigs’ Head of Private Wealth and Markets.

Alice’s appointment is the latest in a series of advances in the firm’s investment strategy approach. Earlier this year, ISG was formed as a ‘centre of investment excellence’ within Craigs. ISG brings together one of New Zealand’s largest private wealth research teams with research-adjacent functions to form a single, integrated team focused on wealth strategy and investment solutions. It combines dedicated expertise in New Zealand and international fixed income, equities, funds, sustainability and alternatives research – backed by global partnerships including J.P. Morgan Asset Management and a recently established multi-year research partnership with US-based financial services firm Raymond James.

“The Investment Strategy Group is central to our ambition to set new benchmarks for research, strategy, and execution, ensuring we deliver great outcomes for those who trust us with their financial goals,” said Williamson. “ISG reflects Craigs’ evolving approach to financial planning, portfolio management, asset allocation, and best practice for clients. The group will focus on expanding the range of asset classes, including international fixed income and alternatives.”

Commenting on her appointment, Alice said:
“I am delighted to be joining Craigs Investment Partners, a trusted and loved NZ business, and to have the opportunity to lead the talented people in the Investment Strategy Group. I am excited to help drive the next step in our journey, further uniting the ISG team around our mission to provide integrated, disciplined, world-class, investment strategy and partner with global excellence and our awesome wealth advisers to deliver the best outcomes for our clients.”

Alice’s career includes chairing the NZ Super Fund’s Investment Committee from April 2021 to August 2023, eight years at BlackRock in London, roles with Barclays Global Investors and S&P Global Ratings, and economist positions at Moody’s Investors Service and the Reserve Bank of New Zealand. She is a board member for the Halberg Foundation and chairs the Investment Committee of the University of Auckland Foundation.

Alice commences her role on 16 February 2026, based in Auckland.
