Mike Johnson

Mike joined Craigs Investment Partners Hamilton Branch in August 2024. Prior to this, Mike spent over 20 years in Hong Kong, Sydney and Melbourne, working for global investment banks Macquarie and Jefferies. As a managing director, he led teams across advisory, asset management, and equity capital markets. In these positions, Mike provided advice and executed trades for some of the world’s largest fund management firms, while also developing alternative asset products.

Mike’s experience in global markets, combined with exposure to a range of investment processes and across asset classes has equipped him with a deep understanding of investing, generating performance and managing risk for clients.

Mike advises clients in all aspects of investments, specialising in portfolio management for private clients, family trusts, rural clients, iwi and charitable trusts. 

Mike grew up in the King Country and Waikato and is a keen surfer, poor fisherman and aspiring farmer.
